The Lodge

Sausage Tree is a small, intimate, luxury tented camp situated in the Balule Nature Reserve. The lodge is set in an ideal location, overlooking an active watering hole that attracts impala, giraffe and elephant to name a few.

The safaris at the lodge are led by skilled guides and trackers who will provide insights into the fascinating world around you. The safaris are conducted in an open safari vehicle, ensuring you always have a window seat.

The luxury, African styled tents take glamping to a new level with bathrooms en-suite. An outside shower on a raised base ensure wonderful views of the surrounding bush. The tents are air conditioned for the hot summer nights.

The Location

Sausage Tree Safari Camp is located in the Balule Nature Reserve. This is a privately owned section of the Kruger Park known as the Greater Kruger. There are no fences between the National Park and Balule. Animals move freely between the two.

The lodge is in easy access to the town of Hoedspruit and serviced by the eastgate or hoedspruit airport (HDS) located an hour away. The airport offers daily flights between Cape Town and Johannesburg.
